Roads around Westminster will be blocked off.

The bigger picture says that things such of this, for the government, are a welcome (media) distraction from all things Brexit. Another indication of how much contempt they have for the voters.
So, two weeks of the great unemployable unwashed beating their collective chests and running around London screaming their pretty little heads off shortly before the current planned leave date will probably be carefully stage managed (again???),

I think the long and the short of it is that there is a lot of hypocrisy and a lot of people trying to tell other people what to do.
What it generally shows is that there is no real genuine interest in making any sacrifice at all personally but a lot in making trivial feel good gestures.

I am saying that other groups ARE treated differently
Any other group that sat down in the middle of Oxford Circus and moved a boat in would be moved on very quickly. Certainly within hours (if they had had an agreed march that disrupts traffic) and definitely would not be allowed to remain for days on end with no end point.

Give all those provably inconvenienced 100 pounds per day. Pay for it from the Foreign Aid budget, given that independent nation states China & India no longer need the money (although I bet another country "took up the slack" here and the budget stayed the same).

Sven, they are already being treated differently. The fact they were allowed to cause that level of disruption previously without any police intervention shows it.

I’m not sure what the instruction to the police was but they were on dangerous ground not moving on people occupying intersections like Oxford Circus.
Not sure what they do if any other group (Brexit Party , General Angry Gammon etc) decided THEY were going to block some streets.
Can’t really treat them differently

Daresay those at the top of XR must be taking their kids somewhere over half term so can't risk having their own precious time disrupted. Hence the timing which will cut down on the numbers I would think.
Plod need to steam in and smash some middle class 'too much time on their hands' skulls the moment they sit down in the road for the televisual entertainment of the hoi polloi.

You can actively seek work on line via your phone.
I understood there were a lot of teachers involved last time. I presume this coincides with half term or one of the other endless holidays of teachers.
Many of the rest seemed to be the offspring of middle class types.
Was down near Marble Arch coincidentally during the last one and no cars made an enormous improvement to the area.
Personally I’d draw a line from Park Lane to Holborn and ban cars from Oxford St down to the Thames.
